Mekhi Salmon (he/him) is a young aspiring creative with a strong passion for community, expression, and social change. As the current  Programme and Advocacy Officer at TransWave Jamaica Ltd., Mekhi is dedicated to uplifting marginalized voices and supporting initiatives that promote dignity and equality. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies which primarily focuses on Integrated Marketing Communication, Cultural Studies and Literatures in English, these focuses pooled together has allowed him to better understand and appreciate the work and opinions of others. Guided by values of kindness, honesty, and inclusivity, he believes that everyone deserves respect and the freedom to live authentically. Through advocacy, creativity, and community engagement, Mekhi hopes to help build a more compassionate and understanding society in Jamaica, where diversity is celebrated and every person has the opportunity to thrive and be heard.
