Mali Dust (she/they)

Mali Dust (she/they) is currently the Monitoring, Evaluation & Grants Specialist at TransWave Jamaica Ltd. She believes in the power of community efforts to exact change and visibility for vulnerable groups, especially the LGBTQIA+. With a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communication and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature in English and Theological Ethics (minor), as well as certifications in Project Management and Monitoring & Evaluation in Global Health, she has contributed her skills to TransWave and the advocacy world in hopes of making progress towards a more inclusive Jamaican society. She develops projects, monitors the outcomes of all activities, and ensures TransWave meets targets and the strategic goals of the organisation. Mali is also an art-ivist, utilising their written and photographic skills to emphasise the lived experiences of vulnerable communities. Mali is inspired daily by the people who surround them to work hard and aim for success. In their free time, Mali enjoys writing poetry, photography, and exploring films of various genres.
